Hammer Hog

After bending the rear axle housing and snapping the inner axle on my F-Toy on an obscure line on Hwy 20, I asked Matt of Trail Gear to please send me their Trail Gear Rock Assault Axle Housing, plus his Chromoly Rear Axle Shafts and Bearing Kits...
This thing is the BOMB!!!
Here it is shortly after crippling it back to camp:

The Axle Shaft was stuck so tight, I had to cut off the Housing End to remove the Shaft. And even then it was still stuck. So then had to weld a collar to the shaft to pry off of. Worked well.

Works WELL!

I do believe that being I had in-boarded my rear springs without trussing the axle tube is the root cause of the bent housing. However it has endured 6 plus years at the Hammers as well as a ton of other hardcore wheeling excursions. BTW, That's w/ the original set of stock inner axles. Just proves Toyota is strong right out of the box.
