I did the search and found endless info. But i want to see the brackets you had to fab to get York OBA. My application is a SBC in a Jeep. I am mounting the York on the DRIVERS side. V-belt. Brad Kilby does not have an application for me. Post here or e-mail them to me.
Thanks

I don't have a good picture, but I just used two foot long lenths of angle iron (3 x 3 x 1/4") bolted to the front of my block (ford 460). First I applyed some paint around the holes in the block that I wanted to secure the angle iron with and took a scrap piece of cardboard and pressed it up against the block. Then I used a big C clamp to hold the angle iron on to the compressor and transfered the cardbord pattern onto the angle iron. Then i attached the angle iron to the block, using a friend to help sight it in while you hold it. When it is lined up you just mark where it is and drill the holes for the compressor in the side of angle iron.
This is what worked for my compressor (out of a late 70's F150). Mine may be a little different from most, as one of my buddies had a 78 cherokee with a York and I remember his mounts (also homemade) were more elaborate. Mine work fine though, no shake or vibration all the way up to 125 PSI.

Yes the welding looks like a horses ass and the engine is dirty as hell, but I fabbed it up before the rebuild and total rework.

Did you call Brad and ask him? I know he's been working on a kit. If you could wait a few weeks.

Ketchup Dog, Brad and I have e-mailed each other back and forth for the last week, and he has not brought up that he was working on a kit. I will contact he again and find out though. Thanks.

Sounds like it is time for you to slap that sucker in there where you think you want it and build the brackets to make it work form scratch - can't be too hard ;)

I don't have any pics but I used the factory a/c compressor bracket, cut the round part off of the adjuster peice and welded a plate on it very simple, provides for belt tentioning and the pulley lines up with the grooves for the stock compressor I've been using it for about 3 years and it's on the passenger side.

I should have mine finished and installed by this weekend. Hopefully I can get some pics of it too. :D
