anyone have pics of how they mounted it? Ive got a Fiero column, and was just looking for some ideas on mounting.

I used a column out of a chevy truck. I used the factory clamp under the dash but put some rubber around it as the chevy column was a little smaller in diameter. When I get home I'll take some pics of the mount I made in the engine compartment.

I used a steering column from an '87 Chevy truck, I tried using the original Scout clamp, but ended up chopping it up and making a bracket that ties into the clutch brake mount and the original steering column mount that the Chevy stuff bolted to, there's a clamp on where it comes through the firewall, also. I had to add another clamp (exhaust clamp worked great) along the inner fender to clear the exhaust. You can see the firewall clamp at the bottom of the last pic. It's just a piece of the preforated strap you can get at Lowe's/HD, etc. welded to a bracket to match the angle of the firewall and a bolt to clamp the column.

was going to post pictures of mine, but yours looks exactlly the same as mine.

Mine looked the same as guido's when I had the inner fenders in. Here's what it looks like now with no inner fender's.

guido, any more pics of yours, as for the second clamp, etc.

Used as much of the stock Scout mount as possible under the dash and welded the chevy underhood firewall mount onto the Scout's firewall.

Had to use longer cinch bolts and drill a locating hole for the Scout (upper?)clam shell into the Chevy column.
