Here's the problem. I have a chevy 350, th350, dana 33 combo in my cj-7 with a 14 bolt rear and a HD dana 44 front. Is a typical passenger side dana so it isn't a flipped dana 300. I run into the problem because my dana 300 is clocked flat and that leaves me almost no room for a front driveshaft because the shaft would hit the side of the pan on the th350. As is the stock driveshaft fits exactly as far as width goes and I can maybe grind a 1/4 inch off the side of the pan without problems. So how in the world can I run a one ton driveshaft here???
The only possible thing i can think of is a two piece driveshaft with a straight splined piece coming straight out of the dana300 till it passes the tranny then having a mount on my skidpan for there to be a link in the driveshaft. Jesse at High agle driveline said it should be possible but I was wondering if anyone else had any other solutions. Thanks
Matt
