I like the pass side air bag I mean air tank under the dash. At least its easy to troubleshoot the wiring.

Others enjoy 'wheeling their junk.

I'm digging that guarded switch on the column. Wouldn't want to accidentally switch that circuit...

Although, I've seen worse and I'm sure if someone snapped a few shots of my rig on one of its "not so good" days I would get my ass torn apart.

Remind me to dig up the pics of when I ran out of time on my front regear and had to drive to work in the morning (back in the day of the Jeep as a DD) There I was with a missing pinion up front and a bunch of shop rags and duct tape plugging up the hole

Drove it like that for two weeks until I got time to finish :flipoff2:

In the one pic, it looks like it is a stock T/X/ZJ control arm with something welded to it. Is it really or is that just an optical illusion? (from the eek! post)

We tried using one of those blue straps on my friends jeep when we were testing the flex on a ramp, we thought it would hold for a couple of times while we determined the proper length. On the first attempt it let go, the hooks turned into flat pieces...

that is so funny its like the guy did all that on purpose or something. Wish you could have gotten a nice shot under the hood:eek:

The wiring is no worse than most CJs I see on the trail, the only difference is there's no dash to cover up the ugliness.

Can't tell for sure, but the ram looks like it may have 90° fittings on it. And while a pin wouldn't hurt, I really don't see that thing going anywhere, since the other end would probably keep it in place, even if it was upside down.

The control arms may be ugly, but they do appear to be funcional. And while the washers aren't ideal, at least he put something in there to fill the gap.

The shifter boot, who cares? Better than a hole in the floor.

Hard to say if that strap is on the motor to bandaid a broken mount, or keep to it from breaking.

Sean, what did he say while you were crawling all over his rig? :flipoff2:

That looks like about half the rigs I see running the river here. Everybody makes fun of them, until they get stuck, then they kiss ass! I'd 'wheel it. Yes, it has a lot of band-aids on it, but it doesn't look that dangerous.

I personally think all booty fab can be forgotten if he was "fully gettin' it" JR is right, so lots of people can't fab for shiat, but so long as they are out there wheelin' their crap, it's all good! I guess some people don't like to fix things until it becomes unwheelable.

Trail fixes are ok, so what if you don't have time to finish it. My junk is still in the garage while that guy is out wheeling.

I got off the trail using the windsheild washer pump as a fuel pump after mine died. I am pretty sure most of us have gotten creative getting to or off the trail.

The only problem with that is when his POS breaks on the trail, and the well prepared wheelers end up blowing the day gettin that junk running again.

That's not a hydro ram, it's a steering stabilizer!:flipoff2:

True...everyone has had to do a "trail fix" just to get home. BUT, as soon as you are home, fix it right ! I agree with Mustard Dog. I,ve seen way too many POS on the trails. On the trail is no time to be doing the maintnace you should have done in the garage ?

I don't know if you were poking fun at the dual Optimas or pointing out the only sensible part of the rig...those duals ARE hooked up to each other by the side mounting-posts.

I, however, love the dash wiring. "Turn signals aren't working...dude, hold these two yellow wires together while I jiggle this orange one..."

That just means he has to collect it all back up off the trail before he takes it back home.;)
