Everything you need is down at your local farm supply store. BTW, I found that a ratcheting load binder for chains can be VERY helpful. Gotta combine it with the standard flip-type though so you're not ratcheting forever.

While some say they aren't strong enough...I disagree. Go to Lowes/Home Depot and check there. I use the heavest ratch strap they sell...two in front...two in rear. I bought 8 dura-guard axle straps online. Just search on google/jeeves under axles straps. It was less than $75.00 for everything. I've had no issues to date and it holds the rig great. Early Bronco...not light.

Since you are in the South East, check out Mill and Mine in Chattanooga. I bought a vehicle tie down kit from them (heavy duty) for $50. Best deal I found anywhere. After a year of heavy use the straps are still in great shape. The kit includes two straps with hooks (for the trailer) and the axle strap part with a sleeve. Also includes two long ratchet staps with hooks on one end and axle straps on the other. They work very well and were the best priced ones I could find.

You'll probably have to call them and talk to the guy who orders there straps. I forgot what his name is, but he'll be able to help you out. Mill and Mine web site (http://www.millandmine.com)

This place had the BEST prices I could find anywhere on heavy duty tie downs.... SUPER service too... He actually shipped me the straps for an impromptu weekender before I got him my c/c info.
