hey guys, i'm looking into getting a 94' chevy 1 ton with the 6.5. it has a brandnew turbo on it but, has 200000+ miles. any opinions or comments? it is the 5 speed manual. anything i should look for? the guy is asking $6500 because it is fairly decked out with gooseneck hitch nad tool boxes and such, but still, i'd like to see if i could get him down to 5500 or so. would like any input. i am in the market for a tow rig....thanks.

www.kbb.com says $7700 with what you described (i made it a utility model to get the pricing closer to real world).

I have a 94 6.5 daully it doesnt pull like the cummins and powerjoke but it chugs down the road ok I get like 13mph towing about 9000lbs.... All I would check for is the age of the injector pump because some off the older pumps went out alot..Good luck

thanks....think i may end up with an 88' chevy 1500 4x4 with new(600 miles), 350, tranny, f/r ends....and only 135,000 on the ticker for $3000. all i'm towing is my nissan on a trailer. should do fine. i'm gonna go check it out soon so if the condition is right, i may get the 1/2 ton, more suitable for my kind of DD...
