The oil pressure guage went to zero the other day in my 2001 Cummins Stealership says its a common problem for the oil pressure sending unit to go bad on these trucks, and that the replacment one is $182  Problem is, I can't find anything other than stealership parts to replace it with Anybody else had this problem and where can I find a reasonably priced replacement part?

Try a Cummins engine shop.. That is where your dealer gets their Cummins parts..
I fogot to tell you that you will need the engine serial number when you call Cummins.

Here you go:
http://www.cummins.com/na/pages/en/distributors/distributor.cfm?state=ca
Phone the nearest one and ask for parts. They are also the cheapest and best place to pick up filters (Fleetgard) for your cummins as well.

Not under the 5 yr 100 mile warranty?
You'll find the lift pumps for under $200 at a Cummins dealer, but over $500 at the Dodge stealer.

Saving about 80 bucks :D
Bought the truck used and it only had a 36K 3 year warranty. I did 42K in the last 10 months alone
You can get most engine parts way cheaper at Cummins vs. the stealer. For a good website about your Cummins check out www.turbodieselregister.com Lots of help and lots of info.

Thanks JR2. I read stuff there all the time, just cant bring myself to join cause my questions are limited and few and far between  Sucks though, cause you cant search without being a member :(
Yea they getcha that way. I was a member, posted like 3 questions searched like 4 times and realized I was paying too much for a quarterly magazine. It'd be cool if I used the site more. Anyway check out http://www.dodge-diesel.org/ they got a good free BB
