So when does Civil Disobedience (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_disobedience) begin? When do the 4X4ers who have watched Tellico be STOLEN from them take ACTION? When does the 4X4 crowd start ACTING and stepping over the current threshold limits of whining and complaining in self-congratulatory forums like this one about what's being done to the community? When do 4X4ers start showing up at Tellico en mass and blocking USFS activities, and start reverse-monkey-wrenching (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey-wrenching)? When does the 4X4 crowd man-up, grow some balls, put their comfy futures at risk and start doing something other than writing hostile, angry forum posts? Actions like this likely would bring arrest and detainment by our <ahem> government.

How many closures must there be? How many EPA actions? How many DoT actions? How many state and local anti-access, anti-OHV actions is this community willing to sit placidly by and let happen before it decides to take action?

Grass is being planted on the Tellico trails, much like the Romans who sowed salt on the fields of their defeated victims to prevent them from growing crops for years to come.

Where is the limit? Is there a limit?

To all the government agents, socialist/progressive/neo-nazi enviros, lawyers for these groups, and other koolaide swillers reading this, note that this post does NOT suggest or incite such actions, only asks the question of what thresholds must be crossed before this community might be willing to take such actions.

90% of wheelers will never do anything but write angry forum posts and maybe a few letters. When there is no where left to wheel they will sell off their rigs and parts and move on to the next fad. The 10% that do act when said threshold is crossed will be throwed in jail and portrayed in the media as the stereotypical drunk, redneck, white trash, littering, idiots.

2 years.

Does that look like an area that was utterly and permanently destroyed by wheelers?

Unfortunately, the only ones I have from '07 are from the middle of the trail watching trucks go up, but that would have been a nice chronological comparison from when it was open.

Wow! That did not take long to recover.

A company was contracted to fill it in.

No offense to you, but it amazes me how people are still so oblivious to what is going on. Tellico doesn't just affect us in the SE, its going to have an impact on the entire sport nationwide. :(

I'll see your 90% and raise it to 99%. It just ain't going to happen for the average wheeler.

So what can I do? Maybe we can send a mass mailer from people out of state telling them b/c of the closing of Telico we will never visit their state and be taking our money to other places where wheeling is acceptable and allowed.
