As you may know, there are flights over the dunes every Saturday morning. As part of the lawsuit settlement that closed the dunes, this is to document possible incursions into the closed areas.

On each flight are a representatives from the environmental community, the BLM, the OHV community, and the pilot. This is where you come in. We need to fill our seat on every flight.

Call Jeri Ferguson at 760-956-2783 or cell 760-953-2466 to schedule a flight. A small write-up after the flight will be helpful but not mandatory and can be mailed to Jeri Ferguson and posted on our forums.

Below are the open dates in the schedule at this time.

(Follow Hwy 86 south out of Brawley towards Imperial about 14 miles)

The flight lasts approximately two hours. You would need to be at the airport a half hour before the flight.

You are to look for intrusions into the closure area and make sure every one sees the same thing.

If you commit then cannot make it, call Jeri Ferguson so she can replace you. This is important; we did not have 100% coverage last year.
