What all do I need? I am hoping I can do it with just
2wd steering gear box
crossover steering arm
draglink (will a 10 bolt tierod work?)
is that it?

Depends on what it's going under. If it's a standard GM full size frame, you'll need to mod/fab the cross member to use a straight drag link.

2WD steering box.............Yes
Crossover steering arm....Yes
Draglink (10 Bolt)..............Yes (If you cut down Rt. side & modify X-member lip)

Sorry I was out on my dirt bike for 4 days. I am gonna be soar for at least 5 days. :D
Thanks for the link spoolin, ive seen the site it dont help me much.
HEY SHAKER!
I got 6" springs in the front right now. I dont have the steering block but was gonna get one. I will skip it if it affords me more crossmember clearance. I could care less about the crossmemebr lip(muffler cutter 10 minutes and 2 beers), but what do you mean cut down right side? Grind some off the top of the knuckle or something? I may dish out the $90 ord wants for the crossmember cause bolt on installs are nice and articulation is important.

Skip the block....cut down right side of tie rod from blazer (TO MAKE DRAGLINK) if you find one because you can find 7/8 x 18 RH taps reasonable but the left hand will kill you $$$....thats why
ORD sells a "Bolt on crossmember"?

The only bolt on cross member I know of is Missouri Offroad Outfitters (MOO - Steve Frizbie). I think that's what he means...

I used the Missouri offroad outfitters crossemember on the wifes burb it is real slick fit. they also do custom tie rods and draglinks.[cross member (http://www.mo-offroad.com/Replacementcrossmember.htm)
I also run there 14 bolt cover on her truck.

I also run some of Steve Frisbie's parts on my rig. He said he might possibly start selling a dropped draglink - not real sure. The thing about his parts - they are much beefier than Rockstomper. Check out his site for more info.
Hes building a tierod for my D60 as well as a cover with ram mount, plus his tierod ram mount. Should work great.
I used a drop draglink to get away from modifying the crossmember on my 6" Lifted K5.
I used an ORD Steering Arm, Rockstomper Draglink (2.5" drop) and 2wd Box.
One thing nobody has mentioned - for ease of installation, you will want to find a 2wd box for the same year (or close) as your vehicle. The fittings are different on the 73-80 and 81-up GM boxes.
Actually, if you wanted to install a Rock Ram setup - contact Yellerblazer above for a ported box ready to go.

I was gonna do a hydro assist evetually. You say they require a "ported" box huh? I might s well get it now.
What do they run?
Whats special about them?
Thanks for the info.

The Box is "ported" meaning it has the fittings in the correct place to get maximum flow. Some people drill and tap the aluminum portions of the box for a cheap alternative - I have heard you do not get the maximum assist from this setup. I recommend Yeller Blazer's setup because he wheels his rigs every weekend in some of the gnasty trails in Oklahoma. The parts hold up to abuse. Not sure of the cost - I think he has an excange.

Looks like a good place to get a box. This build up is starting to get expensive. Well at least I am not fool enough to pay ORU $500 something and then AGR $900 something. Thanks again shaker and mudzerk5.
