Hey guys. I recently purchased a FedEx ground franchise and with it acquired the 05 Sprinter for rural package delivery. The thing is a beast but I am a bit frustrated with all the snow I'm cussin the truck for not having 4wd. Any ideas? Or just deal with it being 2wd?....
Oh and it has 330,910 miles on it and it pulls harder than most cars on the road. Ha ha

4x4 is an option on a sprinter in Australia

Deal with it being 2wd. We run 20+ 2wd chevy cargo rentals out of our terminal at peak and don't have too many stucks.
Those long driveways require you to lace up your hiking boots.

Interesting... do you know how the 4wd system works on it? Is it like a divorced t case or an awd system like a subaru?

We had a driver plow his Chevy cargo in to a six foot snow drift about a week ago. The tow truck driver slid into the ditch trying to yank him out.
Oh and long driveways and people who refuse to put an address on their house or mail box suck. Ha ha

Where are you located?
I own a landscape company, but help out a friend who has a few routes with his peak stuff. We have about 6" on the ground and a bunch of hilly rural driveways, so I feel your pain.
You have a ground route and a HD route?

Northeastern Oregon. They lump ground. And home delivery together because its so rural. We have about six inches of the white stuff too....

I believe Quigley Motor Co. outta Pa built a few. They do 4wd vans, But I think they had a few sprinters one time I drove by. I talked to a guy there and I think they had roll over issues and only did dual wheel models.

in Europe are Spinter as 4x4 available direct from Mercedes Benz, expensive but available.
In Austria, Germany and Italy are companys which produces a aftermarket 4x4 packet for the Sprinter. But prepared, it "F*****" expensive ! :mad3:
