RADesigns (http://www.radesignsproducts.com) updates the Rock floor shifter that can directly replace the stock factory unit in the stock location.
I've added shift gates for all the forward gears while still keeping the OD to Reverse gate for quick direction changes. This will be standard on all Rock floor shifters for 2011, same price same great quality. I've been running one of these in two of my wheelers for over a year now just to test it out.:D

So what have you heard? Maybe read something about the 2wd XJ race team I'm working with? Maybe just a lucky guess?

Do you offer a Pirate discount for registered members?

The discount is you are buying factory direct, no middle man to jack up prices. You get "Made in the USA" shifters made for you by me.:smokin:

Not to hijack your thread with an older version of your shifter/AW4 controller, but I thought this might be a good time to tell everybody how well your shifter has worked for me.

Here it is, mocked up in the setback location.

I welded on a 3/4" wide piece on the right side of the shifter to add T/C and TCM switches, and indicator lights. I built a cupholder/switchholder for rock light and fan switches where the old shifter used to sit.

I followed the instructions on the RADdesign website and it all works great.

I've got probably 20 runs on it and couldnt be happier. I love having the shifter back where I can reach it. I can hit reverse when I need to without having to move my arm off the center console.

Having control of the AW4 is sweet....2nd gear starts on the big climbs rocks!

Thanks Rory for a great product!

Maybe read something about the 2wd XJ race team I'm working with?

This :smokin:

I'm interested in the shifter itself either way, but was going to try another method of electronic control of the solenoids before I heard you were working on something...

would you recommend this for daily driving, or is it more for offroad use only?

Just wanted to give my 2 cents about the Baja Shifter. Installed in less then an hour and can't believe I wheeled without one for so long. Great product:mad3:

I was wondering the same, mines not a DD but it does see road duty, sometimes by my wife, how safe is it without physical stops between forward and reverse? Cool idea though pm me a price too.

cool cool,

I'm still loving my Baja Shifter, drive it to work quite a bit and it's full manual.

Seems like a real solid product and good customer service.:smokin: I like the shifters a bunch and will end up buying one eventually. I am still sour about getting ripped off by that ass hat Brett, who stole my money and vanished from the boards:mad3:

The shift contoller shown isn't available, it's a modified/custom version of the Baja. The Rail is the most common controller for street/trail to go with the Rock. And you DRC I sell switches that let you choose between the TCM and the shift controller. So you can have automatic or manual. Just a FYI on the newer OBD II systems you'll get a CEL, the trans still work fine, the engine still runs fine but the Inspection people will get cranky if you live in one of those states.

I will ship the R/T demo/protoype to Matt tomorrow. I give it it's own thread after a while.:smokin:

Will you be at KOH? I picked up one of your Baja shifters from a buddy but would still like to sport one of these.

I would love to grab one and put it on the buggy if you are going to happen to be there. Oh and bring stickers. :D

Otherwise I will order the shifter when I get back.

I am interested in this for the 89 XJ AW4 , Can you let me know how much complete shipped to Calgary Alberta?
