: My Windshield..... :(

Well.... I'm coming home from a nite on the trail and agreed to transport a full size (about 6ft long) 2 Ton Floor jack for a friend.
Mistake #1.....
The jack itself had to be placed in the back seat, hand coming between the front seats and resting on the dash.
Mistake #2.....
Not quite 1/4 mile from my house, a deer (#$@%!&!! deer!!!) jumped out in front of me. I slam my brakes and come within inches of the deer. But, I didn't hit it.....

Instead, the jack flew forward about 4 inches and the handle went full force into the dead center of my windshield, cause a LARGE crack in all directions.

In short...does anyone have any recommendations as to where I can get a windshield at a decent price for a 1997 Tracker?
Also, will the older tracker/sidekick windshields fit in a 97?

And last but not least....does anyone out there have one that they'd be willing to give up for a decent price?

Any help is good help....

Next time gas it, save the windshield instead of the sheet metal.

Around Charleston a new glass runs $100 installed.
I've put used glass in before, make sure you seal the seal or install a new one. Most junkyards won't ship glass.

The last two I bought were new. $100 if they break it, they replace it. It isn't worth the PITA for me to change it.
