Any hummer pre-runners out there? or race trucks?

yes the Hall family and Robby Gordon's Dakar effort is full of them. There are several more.

Check out SamCo Fabrications website - look for Damien Michelin's H3 and Winkels' H2....both are prerunners for the Baja.

The phsyco squad has a racing h1. Also I beleive the hummer x club hummer races. I'm not 100% on that though.

Sorry but I don't get the point of that H1, he removed the geared drive hubs and lost the ground clearance and 4wd. Those are two major selling points of the H1 for me, I guess he probably doubled his travel easily and it looks cool.

You are right you dont get it, just like most other Bajatrucks only the bodypanels look like they could be from a normal truck, the rest is made for going fast.

We removed the 4wd to save weight and go fast-- but it can go back in
we still have geared hubs on the rear, and the suspension is set up to swap back and forth from 2wd to 4wd by installing the front diff, and geared hubs

we just never need the 4wd-- so we removed it
as far as ground clearance it has way more than a stock hummer --20+ inches of suspension travel on all 4 wheels

It's a great build, don't get me wrong about that. It just took away the big selling points of the H1, to me at least.
