i have bought 44's for my cj-7 that are gonna be put in the jeep tommarrow. I also am doing a shackle reversal for the front. This jeep is a daily driver and want to go soa. I running 35 mtr's and dont want to go to big. ive read about 44044 and like the idea of the extended wheelbase front and rear. The thing i cant find is what steering issues i may have and how much lift they really give you on a cj. Is their a better spring to use to get a little longer wheelbase. i am up to moving mounts for longer springs to get the better flex. I know i will have to get longer drive shafts and am prepared for that. thanxz rock gods

Well you can take out some of the lift that they will give you by making the hangers short and mounting the shackles so that the bushing is in the frame not mounted the the bottom of the frame. You need to do this anyway with these springs because you will need to run a fairly long shackle due to the amount that these springs flex.

I don't have much to contribute but I want to say thank you for doing your homework and posting a valid topic.
Have you gave much thought to running XJ springs? They are offset pinned also.by like 2.5 inches.

i am in the prosess of using XJ springs, you can get them for almost free from the guys who have lifted thiers. you will also have to do some fender trimming .
as for steering spend the money on a quality high steering set up as you will tag the passenger spring with the drag link. dont even think of making some funky ass z bar cause it will fawk you in the long run.
search for high steering and you will get tons of hits
