I doubt anyone here remembers when I started this and most people have allready built several rigs in the time it has taken me. Anyway my excuse is starting a family, and building not one, but two rigs ;) I put over 100 HIGHWAY miles on it this week, along with a test in the rocks and a trip to the smog check.

http://www.rcrc4x4.com/uploads//PC11_9_021.JPG

The specs:

Engine: HO 5.0 with Mac Cold air induction, ford motorsports wires, otherwise stock but that mawther kicks ass :)

Drivetrain: NP435, dual 23 spline toy tcases, high angle shafts front n rear.

Axles: Front High Pinion HD 44 with Redneck Ram hydro assist, billet hi-steer arms and solid grady built tie rod n drag link. Rear D60 with 9" ends, moser 35 spline shafts, spool, and disks (yea the e-brake works)

Wheels n tires: 38x12.5 TSL's on eagle 589's

Other: convertible kit, modine radiator in the flatbed, custom dash with all autometer gauges, in cab cage, etc..

Things on the way - warns n ctm's, convert the crappy ford pump that has died TWICE allready, mount my winch under the flatbed for rear winching and get one for the front, partial exo, ??

works great, I want to do some different kind of hoses though - I have a small leak so I have to fill it up each day :(

Not sure, I want to drive it for a bit and work the bugs out first. It is a frame up project - currently open diffed but the toy stuff is really easy to find - and it has interchangable dropout third members front and rear. I hate to sell it but I'd probably sell it for a family DD like a cherokee or maybe even a tow rig or something.

I had the buggy first, drove it all the way to canada and wheeled it there. With the V8 it acts a LOT different. A lot more lean, lift, etc with the V8. I don't have a wheel hop problem really, but when you punch it the thing sure leans!
