I am planning on rebuilding a Dana 44 for my solid axle swap on my Bronco, and I am chosing between an OX Locker and an ARB. I have heard plenty on the ARB, but not much on the OX. Does anyone have any experience with one?

Whoa, Jose! Calm down! Only one person said something helpful and that was that some people he knew had some problems, but the same with the ARB. I was posting to see if anyone had any personal experience with them.

Lockers suck. Open diffs are the only way to go. You break less stuff that way..........

:flipoff2: :p :flipoff2:

Just weld the diffs shut. Better yet, run without any lube in 'em. They'll weld themselves for ya.

Welcome to the PBB, Newbie. :flipoff2:

Seriously, search before you post.

OX's are OK, you get a decently beefed cover.. I drove a friend's TJ with an OX, and he always says he has problems engaging it.. Worked perfectly for me everytime..

Take it easy on him, he's from Durham, everything is a little slower over there.

I had heard of the problems with engaging the ox's but I heard that they have since fixed the problem, something with the shifter, not the locker itself.

Hay man
I have been running the Ox in my frontend for a year and have NOT had a single problem!!!!
The key is to have the cable adjusted right the front cover weighs 17lbs and will take a lot of beating the locker is very well built . The ARB is great but no pump no locker seal goes bad no locker damage the air line NO LOCKER.

For me it it has been money well spent !!!
