I just removed my intake and exhaust maniflods on the 258 in the YJ i just got and when i went to reinstall them i cross threaded the hell out of the threads in the intake manifold. Does anyone see any problems with just plugging up the EGR tube ports on the intake and exhaust manifolds. i already have the nutter bypass on the engine so most of the emmsions stuff should be disabled anyway. So is it ok to plug up the EGR tube
thanks

Yes, I did. I'm running a Weber Carb, though.

I'm running a MC 2100 on mine, and the EGR valve is still there, but it isn't actually doing anything but just sitting there.

My 2 cents.

you'll have to richen the fuel/air mixture if you disable EGR. did same thing on mine cuz exhaust was too hot.

That will probably be acheived by just running the MC2100.
