Since the the engine is moved eight inches back, and 1 inch down, does anybody have a problem with the alternator hitting the frame. Also has anybody used the GM alt bracket from Trai-Gear.

I've never heard of any problems. I know we had a Chevy alternator on Lisa's Formula Toy.

I have TG's GM alternator bracket it bolted up proper and made it easy. I'm moved back 8" and 1" down, no problems and the single wire is sweet.

I did not use the weld on motor mounts that are made for the F-Toy, I made my own. The engine is down 1 inch and back the 8 inches. I did buy the GM bracket from TG. The tension bar is hitting the shock mount. I bought the shock mounts from TG.

Sounds like the same stuff I'm running except for my shocks are mounted off of the chassis

No problems here. Shocks mount off the chassis and above-engine (hood) bars.

Pic? Thinking maybe you have the shock hoops tilted too far in?

I got it figured out, I just used a shorter tension bar, same design but shorter
