dosent that seem kind of pricey or is it just me, nice set up but no o.d. and only a reg cab.

Definitely an "own a piece of history" pricetag for an otherwise 20+ year old truck, older technology (camper, etc) with a lot of miles on it. I seem to recall seeing it for much higher previously - I'm thinking $55K to $90K or something... So he's apparently becoming a bit more realistic about it.

Who is this guy Warren who builds winches? I have heard of him several times, and heard no WARNing of any quality issues with his products.

I'd pay $25K for it. Definitely and proven expedition ready, could not duplicate it for less, and it does have a bit of a legacy.

I'd give him 15k for the whole thing.

It's a cool rig but I could duplicate the whole thing for under $10K. He is out of his mind when it come to the price. And no matter how hard you try, you can't polish a turd. This truck is a 25 year old truck with a 6.9 diesel. It is going to have issues and it going require some work to be reliable. I would think $7-8K would be more realistic.

sold for 34k in 1997 by the wescott's.Lots of little stuff in there for 10k. I could get a truck, replace all the consumables, put lockers, a winch or 2, a turbo, and a camper on the back for 10k. I think there is a little more to this one. "it's going to require some work to be reliable" I don't think so, not much to go wrong on these trucks. now the camper setup on the other hand.......?

Have you priced out a Four Wheel pop up camper? Even a solid used one with the options the Turtle has will run you $7-8K....

those d rated tires dont seem to mind the weight too much...im impressed they arent squatting more...

I've met Gary and Monika and they are good people. They are honest people. A "trail proven" piece of history for that price is a good deal. I'd buy it if I had the cash.
