I am putting an EFI motor in my 1980 p/u can I use the tranny that is in there or will I need to change it to one from a newer EFI p/u :confused:

Yes it will bolt right up but there are a set of small bolt on gussets that go between the motor and tranny. You will want to get a set of these and bolt them on. Also the bearings in the older trannys are a little smaller than later versions. Marlin can help with upgrading the bearings to the later larger ones if the bearings start giving you troubles.
