Looks good, curious as to why you put the shackle in the front?? Don't see that often on SAS trucks.

I went shackle up front for mainly helping u-joint angles on extreme drop. The pinion actually gets better as the pass. side drops. There's alot of controversey about handling better with the shackle in the back. Scouts came factory with it in front like a Heep. I did a shackle rev. on my scout to make it handle better and didn't notice any improvement. When I flipped my axle in the scout I put the shackle back up front.:D

I've run em both. I love the Shackle reversal for the somewhat high speed runs. Rides nice! But the shackle in the front was much easier on my driveshaft angles that's for sure.

Can't want to see what it does now.

your rig looks killer, now time for some action shots. :D

I wish I could give you some action shot's. I'm doing this on a very tight budget, plus Christmas is just around the corner. I still need gears, tires, steering, shocks and, well just about everything. I just got my 3/4" heims (steering) and just ordered my pitman arm adapter from Sky Manufacturing (http://sky-manufacturing.com/) .Hopefully I will have my steering done in a week or two. Gotta get my flat top knuckle(pass. side),new ball joints and steel to make the tierod and drag link.

looks good, interesting with the front shackle, makes sense, though. no one's asked yet, so I will: why a 12 bolt???

Raptorman57---dam....that looks a bit nicer than mine. I did the same "shackle up front" thing as you. I probably have my axle located about 2 inches farther back than yours....I had to do that to prevent the tie-rod/draglink from hitting each other during compression. see this http://dreamwater.com/zuk/sr.html

Well,I think it will work good. I did it mainly to help pinion angle on extreme drop. Alot of guy's say that shackles up front don't handle good,I disagree. If they are so ill-handling why does Jeep still use shackle up front. Yeah there is good and bad point's to this set up. If you think about it there is good and bad with anything.

Well it's what I had mainly. I got the front and rear axles for $100.00. I've heard some say they are junk just because of the c-clip. I know a ton of people that run 12 bolts under blazer's and trucks with anywhere from a 35" to a 42" tire with no trouble. And none of them are easy on the go-go pedal. Out of all the guy's that I know with 12 bolts only one guy run's the c-clip elim. kit,and he has to get new wheel bearings about every 6 to 8000 miles. The ball bearings don't like off road. All the other guy's still running factory c-clips have never had one break. Some day I might go to a ford 9" ,but it's what I had so I will run it for a while.:D

Thanks for the pat on the back ZUK. But I want to thank you,I talked with you in a few e-mails about 1 or 2 month's ago. I printed off all of your pics from your shackle up front swap and used yours as a giude line. From the ride pics on your site, one thing is for sure, your truck really works great. I thought if I can get my set up close to ZUK's it should work. I will have to run stubby steering arm's on my hysteer cause,as you can tell,I put the axle as far as possible. I might even have to move the steering box up a little. I will get my steering link's all put in and see.I hope I can just leave it alone, one less thing to do to finish the job. I have everything for my hysteer except a flat top knuckle:mad: ,can't find one anywhere. Then I will save for gears and lockers. That should put me back in the driver's seat again. Not completely done but it will be driveable:D
