aight, i'm horrible at all the steering geometry, caster, etc. crap. i'm planning 4-5 more inches of lift for my 99 ram, probably national 10 inch coils under my pro comp 3 inch spacers. got everything figured except the control arms, i have no idea where to start as to figure out the proper length... i'm sure i could get them close enough, but i want it right. currently have a bds 5 inch kit, so i'll keep the raised bracket for the upper arm. also plan to use the lower arms fram mount for the upper arm, then fab new mount for rear arm further back on the frame. so... give me the math lesson...:p

From what i have noticed with these dodges, when they put the longer arm back, it is more of a convience thing than anything. i woudl think as long as the 2 arms are parallell, you should be ok. I have been wondering the same thing because i want a 4.5" lift with longer arms. I have been kinda thinking of maybe radius arms. But then, i only want 35". Also, as another note, skyjacker now makes a 7" lift. their 7" lift springs will lift your 1500 9". Just a thought over a more expensive lift spring.

I just looked at my truck and it seems that a radius arm woudl just barely clear the frame if you cut up the body mount, and mounted the radius arm outside the frame next to the x-member (that area is kinda beefed up for the transfer case). Just need ot see if the tires woudl hit it. Anyone knwo of any good 4.5" lift springs?
