: Odds that Avalanche will ship on time?

Just ordered some stuff off them yesterday.
The guy says "we'll be shipping those out to you, Monday."
I was talking to a buddy of mine today and he laughed and said, "don't hold your breath, I heard that for six months while waiting for my beadlocks."
Anyone else care to comment?

LOL. I'll have to remember that.

Is it just the beadlocks they seem to have trouble with?
One positive for them so far, You guys aren't making me feel very confident. :D

My rock ring for a D60 with 4-link supoport took about a month.

They did give me 10% off though because of that.

I got my ring in about a week and a half. I was told I would get my beadlocks in 2 weeks, then 1 week, then 1 week, then next day, then 1 week, then 1 week........finally, I got them nearly five months after the order.

Good luck. Took me 2 months to get my shocks, that was swayaways fault, but I had to call them to find out what the deal was. I decided to give them another chance and ordered the springs from them. It took 2 weeks for them to here and they sent me the wrong ones. Then it turns out they don't know where to get 18" springs for the 18" travel shocks they sell. Don't even ask how long it took them to credit my account.

Their customer service sucks for us small timers and I will not be doing business with them again.

Some of you guys are part of the problem.

As long as people put up with business's not shipping when they say they are, they will continue to do so. If people started canceling their orders they would start doing better business.

If business is so good that they are that swamped, then they can afford to do something to speed things up. Either that, or be honest about it.

We equally get frustrated with Trailready and Sway a way. Most late orders have to do with builders Avalanche distributes for. The parts we manufacture most always go out immediatly. There are exeptions, but sometimes it is hard to antisapate what is going to be popular, or what the mags are going to print. We have begun to use mostly King coilovers to combat some of late times we where getting from Sway a way. I'am sorry for some of the late orders with the beadlocks and coilovers, however you guys will notice we never charge anyones card entell the day the part ships. :) Clifton

Earlier this year I made 2 different orders for "in house" parts and was told they were in stock. Both orders were very late. One was "misplaced" and not even packed untill I called to check up days after they were due to be at my shop. It was found "still setting on the desk". The other I was told were "shipped on the day I ordered" even though the UPS tracking number showed a pickup several days later (IIRC, only 2 days before I called when they did not come in). On the first order, AV offered to over-nite no charge but I said, "don't bother, no problem, accidents happen". On the second, the excuse was that UPS was screwing up "almost all the shipments" and that the date of pickup was not correct (ok, yeah, right...). That was my last AV order and I don't imagine I'll be ordering again... One may be an accident, and if anything is ever screwed up, it will be mine. But 2 for 2 and eventually you have to take the hint or just keep flogging yourself...

I will say that I CANCELLED my order and ordered some where else NO ONE is going to Lie TO MY FACE and get my buisness. The thing that really pissed me off is they KNEW that they werent going to ship the shit and they would tell me one more week over and over. And that is exactly what I told them when I cancelled. And they DID know that they wouldnt ship. I called Rockstomper and had beadlocks at my door in 2 weeks! Earlier then when he had promised.

And I also dont want to hear that they are behind and have so many sets. If they would have told me that it was going to be 3 months I would have said fine..... But, who is going to sell anything with that kind of wait.?!

EDIT: I will say that when I cancelled due to the wait it was without question. I had no problems cancelling.
