debating ditching my toyota axles and going to full width or maybe even rockwells. trying to get an idea of what you guys think a fair asking price would be on my axles. here are the specs. Both housings are from an 82 Toyota Pickup

Rear- stock shafts, disc brakes, shaved perches (4 link rear, but can cut off and go back to springs), small diff armor, housing is straight. 5.29 gears, welded rear. a few spare axle shafts included.

Front- longfields, chromo hub gears, large diff armor, will include everything needed for highsteer, 5.29 gears with locker (detroit i think) in a v6 housing.

rear is in great shape no leaks, front leaks at pinion seal (replacing this weekend). filled with royal purple full synthetic.

may also have one custom length (dual cases), reinforced driveshaft. I have 2 square and then this one (it is the only one really worth having)

looking for an idea on what you would be willing to pay for something like this. they are literally ready to be bolted up and ran just like they are. im just looking for a change. i want to go rear steer and get away from the mini-width and go full width. im doing some searching to see what is out there but what do you guys think?

look here cock-goblin, do you see anywhere in this post that I am putting these up for sale? i am trying to get an estimate on the value of them and see if I want to go through the hassle. like i said before, if you would spend more time paying attention to your surroundings and less time worrying about me, maybe you wont get lost on a one way street. :flipoff2:

In my opinion the PBB is a fawkin horrible place to sell anything that you want to get a reasonable price for. Search my user name for Toy axles for sale. I still have the rear and I ended up parting the front out but it will give you an idea of what sort of response to expect.

I'm in the Porter/Kingwood area. North of Humble. Bout an hour and a half from Silsbee or Beaumont

$600 for the rear (no locker?), $1,200-1,500 for the front.

Figure what they're worth as parts, no labor.

I got $3400 for a '85 front, HP, 5.29, detroit, Longs, chromo hubs, ARP studs, PSC hyd. ram, Allpro histeer, vented rotor up grade, diff armor and a '86 rear, old allpro no u-bolt perches, stock shafts, Sky's rear disc kit, diff armor, V6 third, 5.29, detroit. Also had one full set of stock front shafts, two extra stock birfs and a set of stock rear spares with new studs and bearings.

Everyone told me I wouldn't get it. I wasn't in a rush to get rid of them. The asking price was well below what I had in them. I sold them on the board here, I met the guy in KY, he drove from PA, I drove from STL, MO. He did have some family there, so it wasn't totally out of the way. We both left happy. I got full asking price, minus the cost of the trip ($100??)
