These wheels have been sitting in my garage for way to long, so I put them on my FJ60. I dig these old retro mags!

I, for one, am old enough to remember buying this style as the latest and greatest, for my 67 GTX with the 440 6 pack...........wish I still had that car.............

Yeah I remember when my dad had them on his old early 70's Dodge (rootbeer brown) Van! They looked good way back then, and they look good these days.

Yep, those would be retro. I has a set like that on my '67 Malibu SS 396. BTW, that Malibu used to knock the snot out of those 440 Dodge super bees.

OH.....so now we are gonna get into a Cyber drag race?
:flipoff2:
If you are talking the same era, 73-76. It was whoever smoked the tires the least, way too much engine for the tires we could get back then......
I raced plenty of BB Chevelles, won my share, the only car I never beat, and we raced often was a 71 429 CJ Torino, smoked me ever time.
Guy that owned it was almost as big an ass as Nolen........

Cyber drag races are the best, since you will never break anything. :D

Yes, who wins does depend on a lot of things, particularly tires if everything else hangs together. My most memorable race was the one where we were racing a Dodge daytona (the one with the huge spoiler wing in back) and the hood pins sheared when we were going through the trap at about 155 mph and the hood wrapped over the roof like a piece of wet newspaper. When I finally got out I was wearing so many tiny flakes of glass I looked like frosty the snow man.

Killer wheels! I run a similar style, American Racing Type 111, on my 40. Timeless.

I've got the same wheels on my 40 in the 15" X 10" version. Even found an extra so now I have the same spare (that was a pain to find). I'm running 16/35 Boggers, so changing tires is a bitch with the old style mag lugnuts...

As to cyber racing: Fully restored a 1968 RS Camaro in the late 80's, no rust, all new front end sheet metal, painted hugger orange thruout, mint deluxe interior, 4.11. posi rear, built Turbo 350 with a 3,000 stall and manual valve body, 4-Bolt 350 bored 30 over with polished oil galleys, 10.5 to 1 TRW's, forged rods, large valve heads, 292 cam, Holley 850 DP, Mallory dual point tach drive (eventually went HEI), 2 sets of Centerlines and 1 set of Ralleys, etc. etc. etc. etc. Still kickin myself for selling to go to college 12 years ago.........:crybaby2:

Also had a 72 Camaro with the old American Racing 5 spokes with the black centers.

Not sure what brand they are, but I know they said "made in Japan" on the inside. 15x8.5"

Those were the type of wheels I was looking for about 9 months ago for my FJ60. I asked around several local tire and wheel shops, but the closest thing I could find were Mickey Thompson Challengers. Kinda pricey and a little to BLING BLING. Found that out after the fact though. Ordered them online with MTR's and they put the whites out! I was pissed not to mention I had to grind down my calipers and the wheel weights tore out my brand new tie rod end boots.. DOH!
