i'm trying to put the 89 YJ, 4.2, TF999 i just bought back together and i can't figure out what these brackets are for. anyone have any idea what these go to

Looks like tcase linkage to me <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0">

I think it is the entire linkage assembly for both the auto and t-case. I have no idea how it goes together. If I remember I will see if there is a pic in my FSM and post it tomorrow.

top looks like AC or air pump,
middle looks like the carb bell crank,

the bottom looks likt transfercase shifter and another carb cable braket, along with the first two.

That looks like the Sahara optional "seat ejector" <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> Well the top appears to be an AC pump, the bototm like part of a transfer case. I think the best way is to look at another YJ and mix and match.

First bracket looks like a 258 PS pump bracket that bolts to the head. Second looks like Auto tranny brackets that bolt to the carb (kickdown cable junk). Last is the T-case shifter for a 231!

well rock slut i hope your right and you sound right. I couldn't find the PS pump bracket and i just found one side of it and i guess thats the other side. No idea on the kick down cable and the jeep did have a 231 in it but i'm putting a D300 in it.

This view is from the other side and shows where I'm chopping off the top ear of it ... the one that bolts to the intake manifold ... not usable when a 1991+ MPI manifold is installed ... <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

The first one is a PS pump bracket for a 258. The second one is throttle linkage. Not sure about the others.
