hey i have a 94 isuzu pickup 2wd...kind of a project, making it into a prerunner, so far not alot done besides cutting the bed and lift the front with torsion bars...anyone have any advice on how to convert the front to coils? or any other advice on making it a prerunner? thanks

are you keeping ifs and putting coils in or solid axle with coils?? im doing the same, ifs with coils and no t bars but on a 98 isuzu pup (holden rodeo in australia.) got any pics so far?

Here are some pics of my class 3 build, using late model trooper front suspension. Its a little over 13" metal to metal. The late model trooper "'96+" parts are about 3" wider per side than what you have on your '94.

any up dates on how your projects coming along chadzu? any more pics?i gonna see if its the same over here with the 96 trooper c arms. but surely they would be the same as my 98 pick up. heres mine ive pretty much just started, have so much to do and little money.

It doesn't look like you have the wide front end. The rodeo/pickups did not get the wide parts that the trooper did. Look at your upper ball joint, if it is the 3 bolt style you have the mid length arms found on '96-'97 rodeos in the U.S. If so it is pretty easy to upgrade to the trooper parts. You just need '96+ trooper upper a-arms with brake lines, '96+ trooper lower ball joints, '96+ tie rods, and half shafts. Its all bolt on for you. BTW it kills me that I never was able to buy a truck like yours in the states!

hey chadzu just checked my ball joints and they have four bolts. is that the longer arms? what is that part number on your upper c arm? mines cq-3

just started making a tubed bar for the front, mine is my work truck so cant go too crazy but a wider stance would be great, along with a suspension lift.

The 4 bolt upper ball joints indicate that you have the early narrow front end. You can still upgrade to the later model parts, but it is more difficult. you will need the lower a-arms as well. The worst part is that the spacing on upper a-arm mounts is a little narrower on the 4 bolt arms. The forward hole is in the right place, but the rear hole will need to be moved back some. This adds some fabrication to the deal, but its not that bad. I changed the mounts on the frame in the pics above. the later model stuff has a taller spindle as well, the upper ball joint was moved up a bit, but that would not be necessary for the swap.
You would get about 3" extra width per side with the swap and add quite a bit of wheel travel as well.

i'm not gonna lie to you, im bloody excited! going to the wreckers on saturday if i can find the time.
