: Tie Rod & Drag Link ?

I have moved my axle foward as much as I could but noticed it might cause trouble with steering. It put the mounting hole for the tie rod about an inch more foward in front of the pitman arm.It would look like the attached pic. I thought that some stubby steering arms would make both arms parallel. Would running stubby arms cause any trouble like harder steering, more stress or breakage? My freind is gonna make my steering arms and was wondering what the effect would be if I made them a little shorter to make the drag link perfectly parallel with the axle tubes. Has anyone ran into this moving the axle foward?

move the box forward as far as it can go.

What he said. If you're moving the axle more than 2", you probably will want to chop the body mount and shove the box up next to the radiator.
