: Brake Controller on an FJ Cruiser

Just picked up a 2011 FJ and need a brake controller but does everyone hard wire their box? I can't seem to any info on a factory unit.

I hard wired mine. Pulled the brake input off of the brake light switch (green with yellow tracer).
