I need a T-18 shifter. I don't think there would be a different between a T-18a and just a regular T-18 shifter but if there is then I need the T-18a shifter. What could I get one off of besides a T-18 and if anyone has any extra ones then holla at me. Thanks.
I've already posted this on the wanted but got no responses yet. :emb4:

You can't find one at a junkyard or scrapyard?

Haven't looked yet. I haven't put much effort in trying to find one yet because I'm not ready to install it for another couple of weeks. I posted this here so shipping would have enough time to get it here by the time I decide to install it.

It's from a Ford Bronco I believe. The person we bought it from said that it had the correct bellhousing for the 258. But at parts mike it said all ford t-18's will bolt directly to the 258 bellhousing. Is this correct or am I just reading it wrong.

Having had a T-18 & a now having a T-18A in my CJ, the only shift difference that I can tell is that reverse on the 18 is to the right & up, and on the 18A it is to the right & down. The shifters are the same, as I had modified the one for the 18 & when I swapped the 18A in, I used the same shifter.

Not necessarily. Any mid-78 and older Jeep T18 or T18a is right and up. Any mid-78 and newer Jeep T18a is right and down. I have one of each and they are both T18a's with the 6.32 low gear.
