Corbeus seem like a pretty popular choice and im pretty sure that's what ill run in the near future. Id like to hear some feedback on Racetrim seats too.

im torn between Corbeau, mastercraft, beard or twisted stitch. figured people here would have some feedback on brands and models

The corbeau's are great for the price. 4wheel parts has great deals on them.

You can't get a better seat than MasterCrafts.....but I got a supergoodbuddy deal on mine, and doubt I'd have otherwise paid full boat to get them.

PRP would also be worth considering...I'd buy PRP or Twisted Stitch over Corbeau/Beard. From what I've heard and ridden in, PRP and TS have better fabrics and foams--better long-term durability and comfort.

I just ordered some TS seats and haven't mounted them yet. I got a smokin deal through off road innovations here in Reno nv. I'm not going to post numbers but call them and they will save you a ton. No joke.

I got a lot of upgrades and they still shipped for cheaper than a similar basic brand.

call aaron at PRP and get the PRP belts to go with them, and get a 5 point, not a 4 point. its the crotch belt that keeps you in your seat while rolling so you dont hit your head and die. don't go cheap on the belts unless you like to be rubbed raw. PRP shoulders are awesome!!!! they are so comfortable.

What he said.
We are running the PRP's with the 5 pt harnesses (with stitched in shoulder pads). The seats are comfortable, and the pads on the shoulders are comfy too. I can wear them for hours without any issues.

I have corbeau seats. I am going to get rid of them and buy PRPs. Every PRP I have sat in was 20 times more comfortable than mine. 5 point harness is the way to go.

PRP was an Ftoy Sponsor for years... Give them a chance.

x3 on your antisub (5th point) belt. Also lets you run your lap belt tighter and your shoulders slightly looser. It doesn't sound logical, but your shoulders will be sore without the antisub pulling down on your lap belt. Your lap belt will also ride up over your gut and make your tummy sore!!

If you've taken the time to mount your seats in double-shear with quick-release pins, also make sure to order clip-in belts. Shoulders can be strapped to the seat belt bar, but lap belts and antisub are 1000x more convenient to connect and disconnect when you service your buggy if they clip in.

The dual shoulder slots in the kids' seats are an awesome idea!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never spent a lot of time in them, but this is what I've heard a lot. I don't know many people who buy a 2nd set of Corbeaus.

Absolutely. They gave me a :smokin: deal on mine, and I only sold them to another FToy'er when I got sponsored by MasterCraft.

PRP Definately. Aaron has supported the F-Toy class for years and he's a great guy. His seats and abelts are bad ass.

PRP x 10 . Whatever belts get the sewn on shoulders. DJ safety makes really nice belts and has very reasonable pricing.

i have crow belts already, might sell them and upgrade. they are fine, the areas we ride in for the most part are a lot of trails with a few obstacles scattered around. so typically wearing the lapbelt 95% and slip on the harnesses when it looks like it may be fun. but i know what you mean about being uncomfortable. i have the velcro padding but rarely use it.

Any specific vendors you suggest for PRP? or can i order straight from the source?

Corbeaus are JUNK! i had mine for a little over 2 months and the seams were starting to split, they were starting to fade. at about 6 months they looked like a set you would find in a wrecking yard. called corbeau, emailed them pictures of damage and fading, they would not do anything.

i am running PRP'S now and never looked back.

What model PRP's are you guys running?

Comp High-backs.

If you're taller, get a Competition Low Back with a separate head rest and put it on your b-pillar x-brace.

No point in getting daily drivers since you enter your buggy from the window opening--if you came in through a door (like a full-bodied rig), the lower side would be nice.

Id like to hear some feedback on Racetrim seats too.

Junk! I've got a set in my f-toy and my fj40 and they are both falling apart. Thinking of taking them to a local guy and having him recover them in carhartt material.

Mind taking some pics of the suspension, webbing, and lacing when you have them apart? Thanks! :grinpimp:

and vinyl or cloth?

Ricks72ntx

you seen what happens to mine when they get wet.... I say go for neoprene if they can do that.... or vinyl if that is somewhat water resistent.

And go ahead and take your knife and cut that bottom support to drain the water out like you wanted to do to my seats :flipoff2:. Bet after spending the $$ cutting on them would be the last thing you will do :shaking:

Only trash bags I ever found to fit over the seats were the ones Jake got from out at the steal mill, had about 3 gallons of water sitting in the seats but atleast it kept them dry

I've had my PRP's since 2007. No rips, no fading, the seams are good, and the customer service was great. My only regret is getting a bench for the rear and not getting buckets. Buckets provide better individual support.

I bought a set of mastercraft seat covers that I put on mine when it is parked outside. You can run the lap belts if you are wheeling in the rain, but they do keep the seats dry. Fabric Comp highbacks.
