I just bought a 2011 4runner and as i understand they use the same lifts as the FJ's i want to put a small 2-3" on it and want to know whats the best lift to use to not lose the factory ride quality. it will see mild offroad use but is mostly a dd for the wifey.

I've ran quite a few lifts on the FJ.....OME, SAW, ICON. Out of the three I would go with ICON for the DD feel. Depends on the budget also though.

The 2011 4Runner has basically the same setup as the 2010+ FJC. The frames and suspension design changed for that model year. ICON I'm sure is nice (I've never ridden in one that had it) but it's also pretty pricey. My vote is OME. I don't think you can beat Othem for performance and price.

i am leaning to the ome the icon kit is nice but for something thats gonna see only mild offroad use its a little overkill i think.

go OME light, unless you plan on adding bumpers, winch, etc... then go medium or heavy.

Watch the heavy springs as they will most definitely harsh your ride. As a DD I'm running the Med. OME springs in the FJ and unless I am running loaded the back end is way stiff.
