I was wondering if anyone knows of a leaf spring thats around the same length as a wrangler front leaf spring. I dont like the leafs that i got and want to put a leaf with more arch becuase the wrangler leafs go flat right away once i put the weight of the truck on them and i also want to make my shackle shorter so i will need a leaf with more arch. I want a stock type of leaf because im poor. or if you know of a good company that can get me some leafs for pretty cheap.

flat springs = wrap+slop=bad also...

101 guy....that search button on top of screen...

use it...type waggie springs waggoneer and YJ springs and 404 ...on seperate searches...rear all those threads...

nobody is gunna spend time typing on somthing they have all said 40 times....just trying to help ya...

if all that tech don't work come back and ask about custom springs..using different oem springs...outboarding them to use more arch but same lift etc...

if you want a simple bolt on sulution you're gunna have to use something like a waggie....search

hence a traction bar... if you have a motor worth a damn you wouldnt go spring over without it.

The Leafs I have on the side of the house are a lot longer than the wrangler ones.... I think you will solve a lot of problems with you leafs if you move the shackles to the rear... Right now all the backwards force is being pushed against the rear hangers.(forcing the leaf to bend) Plus with no locker you are just shoving your tire into the rocks. Just a thought :D as far as another leaf that same length:confused: I don't know but when ever you are ready to work on it just let me know... I am going to start puting the axles under my truck this weekend I think ( That is if Dan Lets me have a corner of the shop :D )

Alot of coal trucks and other large equipment have flat springs, they don't flex. The flex of a spring is dependent on a few factors, spring rate, width, thickness, amount of springs, shackle angle.

But flat springs soft springs can go negitive arch easier, but that doesn't mean much since an arched spring can just get flater.

There is just alot more to springs then flat=good

Yeah i would love to have the shackles at the rear but i cant without lifting the truck more. I would also have to rebuild the whole suspension and im not ready to do that and if i was to i think i want to try out some coils for a little bit to see if i like them. i will figure somethin out but just thinking of new leafs to run as a temp fix.
