how much did the valve run ya, and how much extra for the shaft and linkages that you needed,i am assuming you bought all of this from station, and i am really about to get full hydro setup, just wondering the costs, i know i can trust station since everyone else on this board does. it looks nice.

don't suppose you'd be at all interested in parting with that stock pitman arm for a few bones or some beers???

I need an extra, since I am going to WELDING  on mine.

Will it work on an XJ?

i had a drop pitman arm on mine 4" (i had 6" susp lift)

XJ and TJ are the same but i believe a stock XJ works as a 1" drop TJ

Do a search on cowtown i beleive insayn or robbie took some pictures of each side by side

Thank you for your business/support, Brian.

Interesting mounting.

The valve WILL work on it's side like that, but cavitation can become a problem. I am interested to see of you have any problems with that. Hopefully you don't. The one thing that I am thinking though is that you are almost definitely going to have to run the valve straight up for the initial bleeding.

Even if you do get some cavitation over time, it would quickly be fixed by turning the valve upright to bleed it out. Cavitation should not be anything that you have frequent problems with anyway;Maybe few and far between if you DO have ANY problems at all.

Thanks,
Sean

Yes, it would be even worse. The valves can't really pump air at all, so any air in the valve when it is upside down would be trapped.

so correct mounting would be to rotate it 90 degrees so the hoses go straight up ???

ill have to see if i have room for the hoses up there...

Station can you tell me What size / style fittings go into the valve ?

Station

The fittings you need are #8 (3/4"-16) boss O-ring.

Station ???

i saw a pic of Wagoneer MAchines and it was mounted almost identical to mine ??? would it be better if the hoses were pointing up ?

Mounting with the ports up is the *correct* way to mount the valve. I would like to hear how well yours works like that though. It may work just fine.
