how hard would it be to shorten the wheel base of a 76 wagoneer about 10 inches? I'm putting a cj body on the frame and i would like to know how to shorten the frame safely.

My friend Jeff cut one down to put on a stretched CJ5 for pro arena. He's been National # 2 for a few years. He cut it on a 45 degree angle and welded it together. Due to the rules he didn't put any extra reinforcement plating on it. Though I think plating it in a short area would make it more likely to crack. He then ran a full cage tied to the frame front to rear. It can take high speed end over rolls, and huge jumps. Worked for us.
