Anybody run tubes in their tires? I have 16.5 rims and was wondering if I could safely run lower air pressure with tubes.

That's what I'm talkin bout. If I could afford beadlocks, I would get them.

Run em, but bring spares. All I have heard is that if the tires spins in the rim it may pull the valve stem off. So spares are a good thing.

and if someone is sending out money for beadlocks send some my way.

By the way, I will be running them on my cruiser because after all the crap I did to it in the past few months, I can't afford beadlocks. Oh well. :D

How low of pressure do you think I could run?

Run whatever you want just bring an air supply with you. You should get away with 12 or higher pretty easy

i remeber reading some shat somewhere about putting baby powder inside the tire to allow the tube to slip some(think it might have been for bikes or somethin) as long as it stays dry that should keep you from tearing out a valve stem. and i have seen tubes with a threaded stem to run jam nuts on

I would screw the tires to the rims before I did tubes. With 16.5s there is not really much of a bead holding the tire...this makes is really easy to spin the tires/tubes. That rips off valve stems....

So you'd rather rip a screw threw the tire and be really scre.... er fawked

I did screws and tubes ...the screws came out and I pinched the tubes.... Just keep a can of either with you to put your tire back on untill you get beadlocks..Just kiddin about the either but it does work good:)
