First off. Where is this taking place at? Entry fees? Prizes? Other happenings? Numerous events with a point system, or just one obstacle course run? Different truck classes? You need to give more info...

Since guys in bad ass buggys will probably show up and easily dominate, Is there a buggy class?

Looks to me like its classified simply by tire size. I know of very few buggys around here to begin with.

Pretty much what I fingered too. :D One well built buggy shows up, and there is your winner for the 36" and over class. :smokin:

If I am anywhere around there, I will definitely come in and watch the fun. It looks like it could be a great event with enough participants. :) Hopefully it will be extremely successful ongoing annual event for you all.

for the first year im only goin off of tire size. this makes it easier and some what fair. i would have liked to do 3 classes but if i dont get nuff ppl that could make classes small? i will be racing a XJ with 1tons in the 36 and up class and the buggys dont bother me one bit. if it goes over good i can change up the classes next year. the better turn out i have this year, the more i can do next year.

we do have buggys that run in are club from 38s to 49s and again im not scared of a one of them:flipoff2:

Thats cool and all, but if you are going to come that far, why not bring a rig to race as well???:flipoff2:

Like I was alluding to earlier, if I am going to drive 700+ miles to an event to compete in, I want a FAIR chance to win. My street legal full bodied rig can't compete heads up against a built buggy on 49s. I am NOT going to destroy it to prove that I am right also. I am not arrogant enough to believe otherwise that it can go head to head against a buggy. :)

So, I will go to another event where I will have a fair shot. I will go to the City sponsored street races in Sioux City that is being held the same weekend and run the Vette. :smokin:

i understand where your coming from. if i have a good number of trucks show up this first year i plan to cut the classes up next year. if the number of buggies and full body rigs are of a good number where i can split them i will do so next year. but for this first year this will have to do.

i take it your rig would be in the 36 and over class?

42s, street legal, passes emissions and is driven on the roads. It also does look good, again. :D I do have another rig for the 35 and under class, but it needs more work to be competitive..

Hopefully you have a fantastic turnout for the event. :)

well its gettin closer. i plan to get started on some of the work for the track after M-Day weekend is over. i dont think the dirt work should take all that long so it may not be right after M-Day but ill have materials to get all rounded up and draw the track layout on paper. will keep posted.

got a head count on ppl that are goin to try making this?

moonshiner no7

is it going to be a fast track or a track thats more technical oh and im going to win:flipoff2:

risius01
06-16-2011, 10:37 PM
its goin to be a combo of both. id have to say 60% speed give or take depending on the driver. it will be a speed track for you id say other then the turning part? that may slow you down some?

thanks for the offer. i have a zj that only needs a front axle, tires and maybe a cage but short on time and funds right now so i may just try to find some smaller tires for the buggy.

some stuff to add b4 the big day.

there is no alcohol allowed. if anyone working the event catches you, you will be DQ from racing.

if you are a minor i will have a MINOR RELEASE AND WAIVER form for you and parent to fill out.
