They didn't come as a factory part on anything that I know of. Lots of people use them on loaders, tractors and boats. I don't think you will get 90 amps, but I could be wrong. There are places on the net that sell them, and some web sites that show how to convert standard units to 1 wire, you need a different regulator and some simple mods.
I got my last one for $25 at a junk yard, : )... the owner uses them on his loaders and he sold me one from his stash.

Dirtrod, yup they were made for car audio systems the only problem i had was one was diffrent and didnt get a higher amp untill around 1,200 rpm the other was good from 800 onward. you lose a little at low idle but i am usualy not that way for long and if i am presenting a massive amp draw i usualy have the rpms higher anyway.
and at the price i could risk it:flipoff2:

or get one at your local parts store, go in and ask for the alt from a caprice police cruiser ... I think it was 120 amp. i like having a local warranty on something i can let the magic smoke out of :D

two different alternators.

7157 is 80/100amp cadillac alternator. OE quality, part #7157, $79.99/$20 core, my local store stocks it. Having the vehicle is sometimes neccessary to convince the parts dweeb you know what your looking for..

7294, is a different GM alternator, 94 amp; not sure what application it's from again.. it's remanufactured by Autolite; see the pics on the page.
