Is this a joke??? I don't believe someone is that stupid. It looks like they were trying to make it look like crap. And unsafe crap at that. Those are strret tires, does this pos actually see the street? You should burn it to the ground before someone gets killed.

By looking at the truck, I hope that it is just a farm truck for hauling crap out to the back 40 and never sees a real road or speeds above 5mph..

i hope. i hope. i hope.

Judging by the angle of the steering shaft, it doesn't look like this truck has been on the road for a while. Thankfully.

Well, I hope that's the steering shaft hanging down there. God forbid that thing moves. But what about the "oops I bought the wrong U-bolt" fix. That's even too far for me.

Yeah, I love that part. If it wasn't for the background, I'd swear that setup was straight outta mexico!

Bwahahaha.

 saw a "SON MEXICO" one just last week on I10, doing about 45MPH in the 75, with one rear tire seriously hopping 4in!

just kept driving.... the kids in the back seat, (about a MEXICO's bakers dozen worth) were hopping in there seats!?!

There should be a safety inspection before those vehicles are allowed on US raods. its really sad...

It's a trailer queen it don't need good steering as long as you can get the tow rig positioned correctly.:D

What the fawk are you doing on my property taking pictures of my equipment:mad3:
If I ever catch you out there again I fill your ass so full of buckshot I'll probably have to bury you:flipoff:
And screw all you guys. It's no more booty fab than half the stuff I see on this board.

Hahahahahaha!!! I hope you're serious and we've found the boob who fabbed that. Because you sir, suck! :flipoff2:

JK. :D Like said before, if this thing is used to haul pig shit out to the back 40, more power to ya. GREAT redneck fab job! However, if this thing gets anywhere NEAR a public roadway, then shame on you. We have family and friends on those roads.

Even if the steering column got hooked up I don't think this rig would be getting very far only making left turns, check out the pitman arm, nearly centered yet the axle is turned nearly to full lock to the left.

Having a Rockwell-axled 4wd Chevy dumptruck would be kinda handy for hauling stuff around.....

......around in a circle from the looks of this setup!

broncorob

It steers just fine thank you very much! I am replacing the column is the only reason it is disconnected. And for your information, me and my boy make daily trips to the next town over carrying gravle loads

That is even too scary for me (barely) Looks like a few rigs i've seen runnin 2.5 ton GMC's at home. I don't see how it could be road driven.... But I think The rack and pinion SAS is probably scarier.

I am glad that you all got a kick out of that beast.:flipoff2: It resides in a private scrapyard out in BFE Washington. The guy wanted to give me that beast! Except that I had no way of getting it home. And what the heck would I do with it once I got it here anyways? There is lots of old iron up there and the place is a blast to visit. There several old IH crew cabs and too many classic cars to list. I can post up pics of some of the cars if anyone is interested.

I just went back through the pics and there is only one shot of what to my eyes looks like an IH. If I am wrong, let me know. :D The crew cabs are off to the right of this photo. My buddy just missed them. I'll have him get some pics the next time he is up there.

I'll just hop in the Ghetto mobile and drive it right through your front door Chief!:flipoff2:

I'm no expert but it looks like a studebaker pick up. I have only seen one or two but thats what it looks like.

Sully

No a studebaker, that's definitely an IH.

The studebaker's grill looks just like the ones on their cars. I'd love to get my hands on a Studebaker. Saw one at a car show a few months back, with a big block chebby in it. It was pretty sweet!!

I don't suppose anyone else noticed that the slack adjuster on that Bootylicious Chebby isn't hooked to anything... So no front brakes... Looks like the steering got in the way...

Although very true, thats funny. I feel it's better to bring back and old thread sometimes. Theres alot of good tech in old posts, just have to look for it.

I did a search on the word search,All I can say is :eek:WOW:eek:. Came up with over 1000 pages with 15,000 threads. Just guessing,I'd say at least half of them are techless threads about who can yell SEARCH the loudest. Heres the search page (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=1380687&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending)

Holy thread necromancy Batman! I wish I could have spent more time at the place where all this stuff was. The only probalem is that the freak who owns it all is a crank head and he went off the deep end not too long after we were up there. True shame as the guy had several 6x6's and just tons of cool shit.
