Does anyone know if any yorks came with a serpentine belt or know if any of the other AC units out there have the same size shaft to just swap the pulley from???? I have look at some GM cars and Volvos but once they start getting new enough to run a serpentine belt they change to a different style compressor:mad:
I have seen them but I do not remember on what.
They do sell them here.

I think the early 80's fords ran them try a pre 86 mustang v8
dude if you want i can get you a brand new one for cost.which is pretty cheap let me know ....better off getting one new anyways....:D
They are impossible to find. I just went through the same thing. I found a compressor from an 80's vw that had a v belt and got a serpentine pulley from an air pump off a wagoneer I think. I turned the center out of it and then turned the pulley from the compressor down to match the i.d. of the serpentine pulley. Then you just weld it together and voila you've got yourself a serpentine york for $5. I will try to reduce the pic for ya.

and how long did that take you?
either onboardair.com or kenworth part # KA1480 I believe
only two places I know to get them. Both run about $107 each.
about 20 minutes to turn both the parts down and five to weld them together. I had the compressor from a previous car and about an hour of dumpster diving(goofing off looking at all the crap) at pick and pull to find a pulley that would work. second time around would probably take about an hour overall and maybe $50 for the compressor and the extra pulley

What I found out was that the best place to find them is early 80's Mustang's. Thanks
