If you were going to start with any year XJ what year would it be, what componets would you want it to have from the factory and why? Thanks guys.:D

I think they started the HO 4.0 in 1991,so I would say any 4.0 after 91 and before they started low pinions on the 30.

97s got a stronger chassis/unibody. Steel hatch. 29 spline rear ends. You can pick em up for as low as $4K.

93-94. no air bag, more of these are in junkyards if you need parts. has the HO motor, and the vac. disco had been done away with in previous years.

you want an 87 with a 4.0, a 5 speed, 5" of lift, 32s, a custom rear bumper, and all sorts of other good shite.



Plus you can get it all for $2, 300 obo. I am selling mine.

Was just looking on JU and saw that for the 84-86 jeeps with the 2.8 V-6 there is a possible new swap for a northstar v-8 which would be pretty trick. wish i knew about that before i rebuilt and stroked my motor. if your leavign the stock motor i would get a 91 or newer b/c you get the 4.0 HO. just my $.02.
