I am going to be machining the dually hubs on my Chevy D60 and also need to replace the rotors on there too. I noticed that the dually rotors are pretty expensive  Any reason I shouldn't use SRW rotors? Anyone tried this?

Only difference is lug hole size. go srw application and you do not have to drill them larger like you would for a dually rotor.

You may even be able to use the 3/4-ton rotors on the D60 hubs
They are CHEAP!

hmmm, 3/4 should be a little smaller to clear 15" wheels too. I will have to look into that.

The 3/4ton rotors have a shorter hat, the calipers wont align/apply themselves equally on the rotor & possibly burning up a bearing. Youd have to make custom brake brackets like Wagoner Machine shop does. Im gonna make my own kit to run 15in wheels with not so much offset, I want to run 15x12's, but for now its gonna have to be 15x10 with 3in Backspacing.

Do you have to machine the hub face where the wheel mounts?
It looks like there is a weld that might enterfere with a wheel around the hub where the vertical meets the horizontal?
Thanks

yes you need to. it will make the wheel run true.
i have a question...
i just dropped my DRW hubs off at Wagoner Machine to be turned down into SRW, well while i was at the place i asked if the rotors needed to be drilled out to accept the new studs and they said no, that they are the same....conflicting info....i will call wagoner and see for sure thursday what the deal is.

no it was not a guy that workes at WMS. if you live in tulsa you drop off the parts at ryno 4wd and casy comes to pick them up, you dont just drive to there shop willy nilly it is apontment only. so i was asking the dick smack at the counter (ryno) if in needed to include the rotors with the hubs to be drilled out and he said NOPE! just the hubs. i will call wagoner and find out for sure!
EDIT: just got off the horn with WMS and he said that he will give me the size that i need to open up the holes to and the part number and side of the stud i will need , he also told me that the guy at the counter was wrong and he will tell the guy so we dont have any more mix ups.
