I have a 1992 2wd Toyota pickup. I'm interested in getting a 1985 or older Toyota 4x4. I was wondering if there would be any problems swapping the cab and bed from a 90's model to a early eighties model.

Is the EFI going to be a problem? I have a complete running truck. I should be able to swap everything over!

Would it be eaiser to try to make the 2wd a 4wd? I have read that its not impossible to swap SFA under a 2wd truck, but I thought it would be eaiser to find a pre 85, am I wrong?

I cant believe that you guys have nothing to say about this. Surely its been done before. All im asking is if im going to run into any major problems swaping a 2wd bed/body onto a 4wd truck??

Sure it can be done. I read where a guy totaled his Tacoma and slapped the body/engine onto an 85 frame.
