I have a 92 rodeo with a v6 and a five speed. I nuked the clutch at the BMR and I am thinking about swapping in a stock automatic. What I am wondering is how strong the stock auto would be and if I would be better off just sticking with the 5 speed and replacing the clutch. If I do the swap,I will probably just get the tranny and t-case from pull a part. But I don't know what all year models will have the same bellhousing bolt pattern as mine. Any input will be appreciated.

The '92 should have the GM 3.1 motor. In which case you could install any transmission that fits the GM 60* motor. Isuzu used a version of the 4l30e transmission, but it is electronically controlled and would be hard to integrate into your rodeo. your best bet would be a th350 or th700.
In reality it would be much better to repair your clutch and keep it stock.
