: Needs partsamerica.com coupon code
Eskimo 11-25-2002, 07:29 AM the "ecoupon" code.. anyone have one?
I'm freakin pissed.. didn't know they charge tax as WELL as shipping... seems I can't pick up a winch at the store?
woody 11-25-2002, 07:37 AM what winch?
http://www.partsamerica.com - Warn winch #38631 (8274-50) per their website is STILL $864.29 - my local store ordered it at that price (in store is higher - price matched themselves, so to speak) at no shipping, tax only. Came to $905 or so, ordered on a Wed evening, delivered that Friday.
At that price, who needs a coupon.
Eskimo 11-25-2002, 07:43 AM I was gonna go to the store and do the same thing at lunch... Didn't think they'd charge me shipping if I buy from the store, but ordering on the web site, it wouldn't let me pick up the winch from the local store, but would let me pick up my 'vette MC.. weird.
And of COURSE I'm getting a 8274... Cruzah's and 8274's are MADE for each other! ;)
(sold my "Warmsey" 9000 for $400 to a local guy, so I can finally get what I've wanted all along. I'm all happy... :D
zachv 11-25-2002, 08:23 AM FWIW, I did this about 6 months ago and it worked fine. In fact, when I called "dumbly" to the local store with their part number I got from their site, I asked the asst. mgr. if there was anything he could do with the price. He took off an additional 10%, which brought the price to $777 and with tax to $824!!
yager 11-25-2002, 10:26 AM Damn Eximo thought you just got laid off? WTF buy the winning Power ball ticket or what !!! LOL Maybe just exercising the CC one last time....
I need 2 0" YJ leaf springs.... Throw that on your order....

Well, the first Advanced Auto I went to would not do the price-matching... They had some new manager there that I've never seen before...
I went over to another store (that the clerk atthe counter recommended I try), and they agreed to match the price, reluctantly. I'll have it tomorrow!! sweeeet.

Yup, i did, but one of our local guys agreed to buy my winch for a good price, and I *thought* I was going to Globe, so I needed a winch! Plus, I have a $50 coupon from Warn that expires 12/6.
Rwhat 04-15-2003, 01:10 PM This is a old thread, but i just went to kragen to get some calipers and some rotors and the Partsamerica.com price for the loaded calipers were $59.99 and the lady at the counter told me they are $87.99 and then she got a big attitude when i told her they are cheaper on the internet.WTF, should i ask for a manager and have him price match it?
woody 04-15-2003, 01:47 PM Partsamericas policy is that their online price IS lower to encourage online purchases and keep you out of the store...the right manager will match and keep you in, the wrong one will send you somewheres else...
not a fan of that, but that's how they seem to do it.....
