Hey im building a ftoy with propane on a 22r, I have some questions. I got the ftoy with just parts, the propane kit is for efi 22re. I have all the parts to switch my 22r to fuel injection for the propane, except for the wiring. Do I need the efi wiring to run the propane kit? And the 22re propane kit is from got propane. Thanks any feedback would be great.

On a propane setup the only wiring you should need is ignition hot to the electric lockoff.

If I understand you correctly, you are planning on installing the EFI intake on your 22r so you can use the propane that works on the EFI intake.

If that is true, the only problem I see is, I'm not totally sure an EFI intake will bolt up in the place of a carbureted intake on some years. You might want to check that. Other than that, you don't need any EFI wiring at all.

I have an EFI propane setup. You need a carburated distributor, and coil to make it work. Make sure you plug or cap all the hoses or you will have a nightmare getting it to run correctly. The only wire you need is for the ingition.

Is it from gotpropane? He may be willing to swap adapters. There's no advantage to running the efi conversion if you're not efi. The setup is bulkier and a lot more work.

Don't quote me, but I think if you use the EFI Intake with the propane setup your hood can be lower than running a Carb intake w/ the propane setup. If I am remembering this correctly.

Thanks everyone, I got it all hooked up with the efi and it went smooth.

What did you end up doing for wiring? I was told to get a carb'd distributor and coil. Ive got both them items and know which wire to splice into but do I totally ditch the ignitor? Just need dist. and coil?
