: 37x12.50x16.5 Guard Dogs - IN STOCK!!

We have been trying to expand our options for the 16.5 guys and we are very excited to offer this awesome setup. These tires are a 37x12.50x16.5 in a retread that offers an awesome tread pattern to suit your off road needs while still keeping the lugs close enough together to do very well on road.

We have gained specific rights to market these tires. So get them from TrailWorthyFab! Here is how the process works. We take a 37x12.50 Goodyear MT and shave the tread blocks off the casing. The casing gets reused in the retread process the same way a brand new tire is made. The tire gets cured with the new tread pattern and is approved by the DOT! These are not caps like you see split off on the side of the road. The only difference between the guard dog and a brand new tire is the used casing that is thoroughly checked for integrity.

We have a few in stock and they will go fast. These go great with our custom hummer wheels and we offer everything needed to support them. We offer the best prices on wheel and tire combos and our freight rates can't be beat. If you need a specific quote please post up with your needs and we will get you taken care of.

The best deal about these tires is their bang for the buck. Our first run of tires will start out at $175.00 per tire. Freight is extra and will go to a dock close to you. Please call the shop to get a freight quote or post up and we will let you know what is close to you. If you have any questions please feel free to email andy@trailworthyfab.com, PM me here or post in this thread. These tires have been out and about for quite awhile and have a great reputation.

There are other sizes out there but most are not currently available. So we are pushing what is available. Once the manufacturing process can get caught up and out in front of orders we will start a whole thread about all the different sizes. I appreciate you letting me know about what you are interested in. It will definitely help in the future. :smokin:

kick ass offering, Andy and the TWF guys keep it real!

Andy does a great job!!! We do everything we can to keep wheeling cheap. We test out things before offering them up. They must be something that we would use or we don't sell it. TreadWright has been around for years. They have been making tires for the US postal service, Major city buses ect. When I had the chance to buy the rights to their 37" tire we jumped all over it. These tires will be going on everything I can fit them on. They do great in the mud, wear great on the street and we will have to give a report as to how they do in the rocks. From what I hear people love them. Customers come back for more. Their problem has been that they are small. They don't make stock out in front of orders and people get tired of waiting 8 weeks on tires. So... We buy from them in bulk and keep them in house. This line will do nothing but help our business. It is also part of our go green effort. The case of a tire takes 20 qts of oil per tire. All of these tires were going to landfills. We are now sending them to these guys who are making new tires for us. They stand behind their product too. There is a 2 year or 24,000 mile warranty on them. The average tire is good for anywhere between 45-55,000 miles. That can't be said for many 37" tires out there. We expect these to go fast as they already are. All that means is that we will have to bring another semi load in.
Talk about a good deal!

We will hook you up if you want to start selling them :D

They are a :smokin: deal when stacked up against the price of any other 37" tire out there with 100% rubber on it.

I'd guess 19 or 20/32. They are loaded up. I will check next time I get over to our warehouse. Very true. 2 year warranty or 24,000 miles.

Now if you run a nail thru it or have an angry ex girlfriend that takes a knife to them that stuff isn't covered. But as far as the tire holding up, you are correct :D

In volume that could happen but the problem is finding casings in large numbers to support making them. Chances are that will not happen.

We are going to mount a set of these on our double beadlocks and go wheel the piss out of them. The first outing will be a friend of ours (Ryan) who wheels the piss out of a Toyota. He will run them and I will get some good pictures. Then after his run in a few weeks I'm going to put them on my buggy. I am going to beat the $hit out of them too. The feedback we get is that for a radial they do great on the rocks. I want to be able to show it with pictures.

Are these radials? E rated?

Radials. D Rated. The rating is still stuck with the casing. So it is the same as a normal take off tire. The load rating is 3850.

I'm guessing you will see that you are going to get a double beadlock wheel and tire for less than the price of their tire alone. The win,win is the fact that you can get tires for MUCH less from here on out :smokin:

We will get you quoted.

We make wheels so we can make you anything you would want. I suggest our wheels for the simple fact they are double beadlocks. Proven to hold up under anything...

Anyone have any run time with these tires yet? My buddy got a set of retreads from the same company that is making these and they didnt last 2,000 miles and one of them came apart on the freeway. My thoughts would be that running them at low psi would make them seperate even easyer? thanks for any input... Im assuming the warranty would be void for guys that run them at low pressure offroad? thanks again.

What size tire did your buddy have? I'd like to know what his rig is and what he was using it for.

I have quite a bit of time researching these tires and it is my opinion that the problems you described are not normal. So much so that TreadWright has a legit warranty to guard against the tread coming off. I have a set of retreads on my old mans work van because he drives it like a mad man. He has over 20k miles on them with no problems.

I did lots of research on the dodge forum I go to and everyone says the same thing. They are great for the money. I did research here on pirate and heard the same thing. They are great for the money.

The truth about how they make tires is that it lends itself to being very accurate to how new tires are made. The only difference is the used casing. Which can cause problems. But there should be no difference in airing these down versus airing down a new tire. :)

The tire that came apart was the 33" mud tire they sell on 17" rims. it was on a cummins 4x4 tow rig/daily driver. he regularly pulled a 28 foot camp trailer but they arnt that heavy. I see the warranty doesnt cover any casing belt seperations. I guess that is what it was because they told him they wouldnt cover any of the damage or tire replacment. It sounds like the problems will come from the old casings, not the new tread they put on. I think im going to try a set when I have the extra cash for new rims anyways.

Got these tires on Tuesday last week. Thanks for the fast shipping. Was able to get them mounted up for the weekend. I didn't really get a chance to take them off road this weekend, but I did put some miles on them. I put about 350 miles over the weekend. And I have nothing but good things to say about the street driving. Great handling and very quite. My Jeep was up over 70 mph at points and these tires felt great. I went on several steep rocky dirt roads in 2 wheel drive low and never sliped a tire while pulling a loaded trailer with a bike, quad and camping gear. All I got for pics were some cell phone pics for now. I'll post up some better ones after a real wheel'in trip.

Thanks, Guys for the great tires. :D

Thanks for the feedback. You have made the good buyer list as well as the TWF show and tell thread. We look forward to seeing more pictures. FYI the nice thing about these tires is if they wear on one edge (which happens to all tires when you are crawling and trying to get the tire to bite) these tires are non directional so you can roate the tire on the wheel and go back at it again with a new ready to eat rocks edge.

Take care,

Todd
