the block number on a 327 that I would like to buy is 3849852 what is this from and how can I tell if the heads are right for it, what number should they be? thanks for any help, scott

This may not be much help, but you can go to mortec.com and get some info on the block. As far as the heads go, I would say that there will be a few different ones that were used on the same type block (250hp, 275hp, 300hp etc).
